For nearly 20 years I helped shepherd a route network’s growth from 20,000 miles to nearly 50,000 miles, from 11 routes to 28 routes, and from 3-color paper maps to a mobile app. This experience has sharpened my ability to navigate complexity and roll with changes.Today I lead the team doing the amazing work of route creation, maintenance and distribution; support the existing community of bicycle travelers; and work to expand that community to actively welcome new voices.I value creative solutions, open communication and collaborative processes to achieve goals. I bring a perspective as a bicycle traveler, commuter and voice for safety, connectivity and inclusion.My 2017 2,000+ mile solo bike trip taught me a number of things:I enjoy stretching and learning to reach difficult goals (especially once I’m over the top of the pass!).Solid relationships make the journey much more enjoyable.Strangers are more like me than not, generally kind and wanting to do the right thing.Even a vegan can find enough food in a convenience store for a meal!
