After attending Fullerton College and Santiago Canyon College and achieving my AA in history I decided to change educational pathways and choose a career that I think suits my personality and values. I chose to attend Cypress College School of Mortuary Science, first attending Cypress College for one year to complete my prerequisites as well as take an Anthropology of Death class and a Forensic Anthropology class to further prepare myself for the world of Mortuary Science. I achieved my certification in flame cremation and alkaline hydrolysis through CANA and achieved my funeral directors licensure in California. I graduated with my AS in mortuary science in May of 2022 and have completed my goal of becoming a dual licensed funeral director and embalmer. I reside in Lake Forest, CA with my husband and our children, my son (18) and his daughter (20), my father in law, our family cat Bowie and my snake Abigail.
