While I have long been interested in employment law, it has become a really exciting area in which to practice with the recent emergence of employee protections ranging from gender identity, cannabis, to religious liberties. While these protections are positive for employees, they present a number of compliance issues for employers, who need smart counsel to help them navigate this uncharted territory. My diverse work experience uniquely positions me to help employers navigate these issues. Prior to representing employers, I represented employees in discrimination matters. I also represented municipalities on a wide range of issues, including personnel matters. It is exciting to be able to bring myriad disciplines, perspectives and points of view into my consultations with clients, helping them weigh options and make sound, informed decisions.
