Direct the work of 1 Benefits Assistant Manager and 2 Benefits Specialist. Manage all leave programs: catastrophic, short-term disability, long-term disability, family medical leave, amnesty programs, and fit for duty evaluations. Oversee administration of employee benefit programs including life insurance and long-term disability. Serve in an advisory capacity for employees on complex benefits issues and compliance. Review legislative changes and benefits trends and recommend appropriate updates to existing programs and processes. Participate in evaluation of existing benefits, analyzing survey results, developing and implementing new plans or modifications to existing plans. Maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers. Develop and conduct training of internal departments on various benefits plans and leave programs.

Process and track all life insurance claims for employees, as well as dependents for over 14,000 employees. Manage initial submission of cases for all company long-term disability.Administer and monitor FML, ensuring compliance and tracking of maximum amount allowable. Administer catastrophic leave for all full-time employees. Record dates/hours used and authorize payment each pay period while the employee was absent from work. Work closely with outside vendors and supplemental carriers, helping employees to understand the products and assisting with applications, Serve as Lead for the Insurance Committee, working with benefits specialists and generalists to determine appropriate amount of short-term disability leave.Educate employees on the medical plan through training classes, meetings, and open enrollment.Directly responsible for presenting benefits package to new hire employees each week. Number of employees could range from 50-100+ weekly.

Research and locate non-custodial parents for purpose of court proceedings.Served as process server throughout the state of Oklahoma serving court orders for Tribal Court child support hearings.Worked alongside Lighthorse Police Department in locating non-custodial parents for process of bench warrants.Attend hearings and serve as witness when needed by legal assistant or request of courts.
