Principal Psychologist for Specialist Clinical Services for QLD Corrections. Providing risk assessment, and management advice in regard to high risk offenders in custody and the community. Supervision of the team members for SCS also a primary responsibility of this role.

As a Psychologist in the CFMHS, I provide assessment and psychological intervention to clients of the Forensic Mental Health Service. I do this both in the CFMHS and the Wilfred Lopes Centre.Key responsibilities• Assessment and psychological intervention• Risk assessment.• Assessments for court including fitness and presentence reports.

Clinical leadership, governance and development of specialised forensic psychology services in the community arm of the QFMHS. Key responsibilities• Clinical work within Community Forensic Outreach Service (risk assessments and Consultation Liaison work), the Court Liaison Service and the QLD Fixated Threat Assessment Centre.• Lead the provision of psychological therapy as part of the CFOS therapy service• Provide supervision to psychologists across the state-wide QLD FMHS• Manage and monitor supervision processes, maintain credentialing requirements• Supervision of student externships

Assessment and psychological intervention with prisoners in the Crisis Support Unit who had engaged in significant acts of self-harm in custody.Key responsibilities• Suicide/self-harm risk assessment and management• Psychological therapy • Education to corrections staff about mental health presentations that contribute to self-harming behaviour and appropriate behaviour management strategies

Assessment and psychological intervention with offenders in Risdon prison, and the remand centre, Tasmania who were experiencing major mental health conditions or self-harming behaviours.Key responsibilities• Suicide/self-harm risk assessment and management• Psychological therapy for mental health conditions such as anxiety and mood disorders• Support to Corrections staff about offender behaviour management.
