Responsible for executing regional fundraising strategies to support the Smithsonian’s mission of increasing and diffusing knowledge. Focused on building relationships with major donors, cultivating philanthropic partnerships, and enhancing the visibility of the Smithsonian’s programs and initiatives.

Served as the Treasurer 2022-2023, Executive Committee 2022-PresentCo-chaired the Strategic Planning Committee and finalized a new 3-year strategic plan.Chaired the Finance Committee and spearheaded the effort to secure a new investment firm through a competitive process.

Responsible for developing and executing EngenderHealth’s individual giving strategy, including major gifts, planned giving, and family foundation gifts. Oversee the philanthropy team including the launch of a new digital fundraising strategy and major donor giving programs.

Manage all functions and activities related to the philanthropic development of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UMD. In collaboration with the Dean, work to promote the mission and vision of the College to prospective future donors and alumni. Execute program specific fundraising efforts to support the 10 departments and programs in the College. Develop and execute strategies for annual gifts, major gifts, planned and estate gifts to support scholarships and faculty support for the College. Also served in this role for the College of Education and Human Services and the College of Liberal Arts.

Responsible for identifying, cultivating and stewarding donors for major and planned gifts for WUSF Public Media, including WUSF 89.7, Classical WSMR 89.1, and WUSF TV, central Florida's premier public media agency. WUSF is licensed through the University of South Florida in Tampa and as such, Jennifer worked for the University of South Florida Foundation.

Led as the first full-time development director for the organization. Responsible for creating a new comprehensive fundraising program which raised $1.91 million annually from corporate, individual and foundation support and local, state and federal government grants. Pioneered and managed the "A-Lister" individual giving campaign which raised tens of thousands in its first year. Managed Development Committee and coordinated monthly meeting for setting goals and agendas.

Sarasota, Florida Area

Solicited and obtained major gifts, several in excess of a million dollars, for the $50M Capital Campaign to renovate the historic Sarasota Opera House. Developed a major gift initiative responsible for soliciting increasing new members and resulted in increasing funds raised by 30% in two years. Trained and supervised development officers for implementing these donor programs.

Coordinated the Adopt-A-Shore and Adopt-A-Median Program for what is now known as Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. Organized with 10+ agencies, coordinating over 700 volunteers for various environmental clean-up projects. Organized Teacher Appreciation events to honor Hillsborough County school teachers.

Managed and trained a group of over 50 student telephone fundraising representatives.
