Accepted the responsibilities of Deputy CIO to organize, plan and execute the Court’s $10M IT operating budget, and implement Court’s IT strategy in all 44 counties. Developed a new procurement process to spend $20M over 2 years in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Current role is focused on both strategic IT security program management, as well as tactical IT operations management. Leads a team of about 40 IT personnel including 5 IT manager direct-reports.- Leading Statewide initiative to consolidate judicial branch network connectivity. Evaluated – selected – and currently deploying next-generation solutions which will dramatically reduce Idaho Judicial Branch’s network profile and risk associated with disparate networks.- Leading IT infrastructure team to develop multi-cloud solutions in AWS and Azure with a focus on usability and security. Eliminated the Court’s reliance on legacy computing solutions and providing solutions that are scalable and provide for business continuity of a critical government service.- Building relationships with all 44 county elected clerks and County IT. Leveraged relationships to gain consensus and to begin sharing cybersecurity information in real-time to increase Idaho’s security posture.- Cybersecurity grant leader. Working with Idaho’s State, and Local government communities in order to utilize limited DHS grant dollars to strengthen cybersecurity defenses in underfunded and rural governments.

Developed the Court’s first cybersecurity program including drafting the Court’s cybersecurity policies while reducing complexity of information security controls and increasing overall cybersecurity visibility.

- Law enforcement liaison between State of Arizona agencies and the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) and acted as cyber security SME- Launched Arizona Information Sharing and Analysis Center (AZ-ISAC) in collaboration with DPS, ADOA, FBI, AZ National Guard and Department of Homeland Security

- Led several multi-million dollar projects to upgrade the State of Arizona Data Center infrastructure and secure data for multiple agencies - Implemented enterprise wide security solutions including advanced endpoint protection and web application firewall to all State of Arizona agencies, boards and commissions in order to remediate gaps in security assessments- Team leader responsible for network infrastructure architecture and security of switches, firewalls and intrusion prevention/detection system within the State of Arizona Data Center- Responsible for conducting vulnerability scans, reporting on findings and assisting with vulnerability mitigation of server and network hosts in the State of Arizona Data Center- Utilize GIAC Forensic Examiner Certification to perform acquisition of digital evidence and provide forensic analysis and reporting

- Responsible for the organization’s strategic IT initiatives and goals- Responsible for hiring, training and managing IT staff- Migrated from Novell NDS to Microsoft Active Directory and over 100 e-mailboxes from Novell GroupWise to Microsoft Exchange- Developed server virtualization strategy and implemented initial virtualized environment using VMWare - Implemented centrally-managed, campus-wide wireless network- Oversaw the data and telecommunications operations at three physical locations- Developed and implemented a web-based, IT request tracking application
