I currently serve as an Exhibit Specialist and spend much of my time coordinating with curators, educators and museum staff to design temporary exhibits in the museum. When I'm not at the computer designing, I am fabricating case furniture and artifact mounts. Sometimes I make scale models, resin replicas, educational handouts, write Statements of Work.

As an exhibit specialist at the Field Museum I was involved in the exhibit process from every possible angle. While in the Interactives Department I programmed microcontrollers, installed electronics, and worked on a team to design interactives for several major exhibits. As a preparator I did sculpture and casting, installed graphics, created props.

As a mount maker at the Field Museum I designed and fabricated artifact mounts for several temporary, permanent, and traveling exhibits. I used brazing, welding, and plastic fabrication techniques to create visually appealing mounts that met world-class standards. I fabricated archival crates for the traveling exhibit Chocolate, and worked with the staff.
