I became passionate for exercise and sports at a young age for personal goals. Now, I am an international Kinesiology student from Panama with the desire to help others achieve their goals. I love being surrounded by determined, disciplined, enthusiastic people to, in some type of way, be a piece of motivation for them to overcome obstacles and achieve success. During my four years at UCF I have worked with this type of people that fulfill my passion. I started working at LA fitness as front desk staff. This gave me the opportunity to be the first person to welcome and cheer up every member. Many times members walked in not quite ready to get a workout in, so this gave me the chance to engage in small talks, what seemed to be just what they needed to get started.Not too long after I was offered the opportunity to become Lifeguard Certified at UCF's lap pool. All of a sudden cold mornings at 5am didn't seem too bad when disciplined, motivated patrons showed up for their daily dose of bettering themselves. This job filled gave me a lot of leadership, problem solving, and teamwork skills along with better swimming skills and endurance.My passion for sports, exercise and physical activity in general grew with all these experiences and what better way to put in practice all these acquired skills than to start building my own little community? On September 2022 I challenged myself to get a Group Exercise Instructor Certification. As soon as I started teaching and slowly building rapport in my community, I knew that that decision I made to pursue a Kinesiology B.S. was the best decision I've made.As of right now, I'm currently trying to expand my classes and/or fitness knowledge to other fitness/health centers. At the same time I'm working on NASM's Personal Trainer Certification, Nutrition Coach, and Corrective Exercises Specialization. The goal is to be a little more one-on-one and hands on after graduation to expand my knowledge and experience before, hopefully, getting into Med School.
