I attended Louisiana State University from 2008 - 2012 and earned my Bachelors' in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with a concentration in Wetland Ecology. During that time, I was also an intern at the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL). Post-graduation, CRCL hired me full-time as the Volunteer Coordinator. Over time, I worked my up to Restoration Program Coordinator and we launched the only oyster shell recycling program in New Orleans. At CRCL, my passion for the coast continued to grow and I decided to return to school. I left CRCL in December 2015, and by January 2016 I was enrolled in the Biosystems Engineering program at Auburn University. I spent 2 years earning the necessary pre-requisite credits to gain admittance into graduate school. I graduated with my Master of Science in Engineering in August 2021 studying under Dr. Emad Habib. Post-graduation, I worked as a Resercher and Project Engineer at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in the Civil Engineering department. As of August 2022, I work at the Environmental Protection Agency (R6) in the Water Division, Coastal Marine and Nonpoint section, specifically focusing on CWPPRA projects.Ultimately, I would like to earn my Professional Engineering (PE) license and get certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Coastal Floodplain Manager (CFM).
