About Jenny Larson
I am a professional in the field of higher education and collegiate recreation dedicated to the holistic development of students and staff on a college campus. Currently, I am the director of health, recreation and wellness at Auburn University, where I lead an integrated approach to wellness and recreation programs. With over 10 years of involvement with NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation I have served in leadership roles in the planning of regional conferences, student development and training, and the development of professional staff. I am a three-time NIRSA Service Award and Horace Moody Award winner and a co-author of the NIRSA Essentials: Student Development and Training book. Currently I am serving NIRSA as a faculty chair for the relaunch of the NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation, and have enjoyed presenting at several state, regional, and national conferences on a variety of topics.Outside of work I am an avid golfer, enjoy hiking and spending time with my black lab Ellie.
