Work in the outpatient setting at Grand View Endocrinology seeing patient in person and also via telehealth. Outpatient responsibilities include providing nutrition counseling to clients at Grand View Endocrinology for various disease states such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Provides diabetes education and counseling as well as insulin pump expertise. Teaches diabetes self management classes and support groups. Also covered inpatient at the hospital as needed to carry out the nutrition care process on occasion.

Couseling overweight & obese patients on how to make changes to their diet to help them lose weight and create a healthier lifestyle. Also educate patient on diet needed for bariatric weight loss surgery. Run kids programs to get them more active and to be able to make healthier food choices.

Manage the Nutrition Center. Responsibilities include creating and staying within our budget, creating and maintaining nutrition education programs, attending meetings for our wellness center and management team, making patient appointments, seeing individual patients & patients in group settings, running annual cooking demonstrations, running supermarket tours, and creating performance improvement projects to work on each year.Teaching monthly classes at all three of our campuses for the accredited Diabetes Education program at Aria Health. I work very closely with the Certified Diabetes Educators to provide follow up classes as well.Hold one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions, group weight loss classes, and group Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome classes.Created the Medical Nutrition Therapy program for our Bariatric program.

Work as the clinical dietitian for the intensive care unit, step down unit, and two telemetry units at a 130 bed hospital of a 600 bed hospital system. Hold nutrition education classes monthly for the accredited Diabetes Education program at Aria Health.Monitor and educate students during their clinical dietetics internship.Quarterly teach the Frankford Hospital School of Nursing on the topic of diabetes and nutrition.

Serve as the sole clinical dietitian on the medical/surgical floor where there is an Intensive Care Unit, Step Down unit, and three acute care units. Also see patients at the Mental Health units and Women's Health Clinic.Assess patients for nutritional risk and carry out the nutrition care process with various disease states, especially diabetes, renal failure, cancer, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.Educate outpatients during a Diabetes Management Class on how to manage their disease through diet and exercise.Mentor students during their clinical rotations for the clinical dietetics internship.
