Senior Director, Content
Current• Lead editorial management team, which includes eight seasoned Content Directors and Managers who oversee an expansive freelance network and 50+ full-time employees that supply our top sports verticals with web/app and social media content• Responsible for helping set editorial and social media goals that support business objectives for growth in revenue, brand, subscriber acquisition and retention, customer satisfaction, etc.• Make business cases for managers to receive the resources and support they need for their teams to hit on- and off-platform KPIs in traffic, engagement, conversion, and monetization• Manage and deliver performance reporting at the vertical and manager level; work with B.I. team to develop content analytics dashboards • Implement and reinforce best practices for content production, publication and distribution• Develop and implement changes needed to execute next-generation content vision and KPI targets in accordance with top- and bottom-line company goals• Work with the Editorial Video Production team to prioritize projects and resources according to projected return • Partner with the Films & Entertainment team to identify opportunity and allocate resources in the development of storylines and field production for projects ranging from small-budget skinny films to six-figure docuseries• Collaborate with Operations to determine annual department budget, make vertical allocations, measure ROI, and adjust as needed • Work cross-departmentally with Marketing, Rights Acquisition, Sales, Product/Engineering, Live Production, etc. to gain alignment on strategy, resourcing, goal dependencies• Deliver content pitches to prospective partners, including major leagues and conferences, in the broadcast rights / content licensing space• Stay current with trends in the sports media landscape and analyze data to glean takeaways and channel insights into content strategies that grow the business
