My career in software development began at Capitol Bancorp, as part of a web team that managed 50+ community bank .NET website. I received multiple accolades from the banks I worked with for the website redesigns and feature requests I handled. In 2009, I accepted a position at meltmedia as a front-end developer where I worked more with JavaScript. I also moonlighted as a WordPress developer and honed in on my PHP skills, including writing my own plugins, themes, and post types. While at meltmedia, I cross-trained in iOS development. Working in Objective-C and iOS development made me find my calling. Not only did I work on mobile apps for clients like Genentech and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, but I found the development niche that made me excited about my job. I combined my love for iOS development and my hobby as an avid gamer to build my own app. After managing an ever-growing collection of bookmarks on tips and tricks for gaming achievements, I simplified the process by creating an app that bundled achievement tips, guides, and videos in one place, and with the ability to track your gaming progress - hence the launch of 9001G. While building the app, I taught myself how to use CoreData and integrate an XBox API created by Alan Wynn. I showcased my migration from CoreData to Parse during the Parse's first Developer Day Conference.I worked Unwired Revolution in 2014 as one of two iOs developers and increased my knowledge of Objective-C and Swift, as well as learned C#, Windows Desktop, and InstallShield. Because of my prior WP experience I also managed the company's WordPress sites.In my spare time, I wrote two additional iOS apps - the award-winning app Monster Scout from Monomyth, and OneThing by Synergy Productions. A Phoenix native, I took a position at Wayfair in Boston, MA, moving into a team lead/management position within a year. After Wayfair I joined the Consumer Mobile team at American Well and am now on the iOS SDK team at Brightcove.
