Privacy, security, and cutting edge consumer products are not often found together. I am an accomplished innovator, entrepreneur and engineering leader that has successfully blended these sometimes conflicting fields into new products and services. I have designed software across embedded systems, mobile applications, and cloud services. All of these I built with security and privacy as a fundamental building block. New regulations like GDPR have proven that whether you are making smartwatches, smart glasses, smart phones, or home gateways you must give consumers the products they want and need while handling their private data like it is your own.In my 25 years of experience I have concluded that great technology can only come to fruition if you can combine a great team, a good idea, and solid processes. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best people in the industry and I know first hand the difference a single, driven person can have on even the biggest project. I've also seen fantastic teams with great ideas fail because of a lack of organization and planning. When it all comes together, though, it is truly something to behold.Specialties: Privacy, GDPR, IoT, wearables, AR, watches, glasses, mobile, security assurance, Network threats, evasion, intrusion detection and prevention, firewalls, honeypots, deception, network security testing, mobile, and wireless networking.
