As a Public Private Specialist for the Navy, I am the liaison with the private sector partners for Navy housing in the United States. I monitor financial performance and operational activities which enables me to provide action plans to improve net operating incomes and tenant satisfaction scores. As a real estate professional, my career has been has focused on creating and leading teams of staff and contractors to accomplish long and short term goals. My teams have managed over 100 assets in the past three years ranging from single family residents to a 712 unit condominium complex to a 346,000 square foot landmark commercial building in Puerto Rico. Properties were leased up to improve returns. I sold over $100 million of these properties from 2012 to 2014. I have mentored staff for the FDIC and trained contractors so they have a better understanding of the position requirements and can perform their work more efficiently. In my role as Director of Forward Planning and Entitlements with a national home builder, I analyzed the market to create an acquisition strategy for land and lots, and determined the product type that would provide the best returns on investment. The economic model I created as Director of Finance was used to evaluate all investment decisions. I was a Director for 4 Community Development Districts. In this position, I collaborated with the project engineers, contractors, district counsel, and investment bankers to plan the developments and prepare the marketing packages for the bonds that were sold to institutional investors to fund development. While working with the Comptroller of the Currency and as the Internal Audit Manager for a regional Savings and Loan, I performed credit reviews and consumer compliance tests. Loans were graded to ensure the institution held adequate reserves for losses and maintained adequate capital.
