In this role I look after the online store at Dance Desire. I process, pack and send each order that is placed as well as answering all customer enquires that come through online. I also maintain the online store to ensure that it is functioning and the stock quantities are correctly recorded in reliance with the stock availability. I work alongside the in-store and marketing team to ensure that we provide the highest quality of product, presentation and customer service.

I have worked at Dance Desire as a sales assistant for many years. In this role I work to create a memorable and enjoyable shopping experience for the customer. As a specialised shop we offer all the dancing essentials to dancers of all ages, from tiny-tots trying on their first pair of ballet shoes to our pre-professional and full-time dancers who seem to be back in-store each week. This role consists of maintaining stock levels and communicating with suppliers regarding regular and ongoing orders, the unpacking and processing of new stock, and fitting of dance wear and dance shoes, as well as general shop maintenance and upkeep. During peak seasons I am sent to dance studio and competitions where we run specified pop-up shops and take bulk uniform orders.

In this role I custom fit En Pointe Orthotics to customers toes inside their pointe shoes.

At Myer I worked primarily in the Childrenswear department, where I helped children and parents find suitable outfits for all occasions. I also spent time covering shifts in the online department, toys, men's shoe, and menswear. Working in such a large store was a great experience, particularly during back-of-house proceedings like stocktake and markdowns where we worked systematically through all of the stock. While at Myer and towards the last few months of my time there, I had worked my way up to concierge shifts where I would greet customers at the door and help them find their way around our 8-levelled department store. During this time I worked our special events of 'Myer After Dark' where we opened till late with the lights down and music up, promoting a 'different shopping experience' offering champagne and interactive displays for our customers.
