My first Co-op internship rotation with Infineum primarily focused on facilitating the research for understanding the behaviors of chemical species under extreme conditions by analyzing data obtained from multiple 72-hour long studies. I determined the key factors that influence the product behavior over the life time of an engine oil. I also evaluated dynamic and standard test parameters for their effects on product performance, as well as examining competitor product behavior in terms of unique chemical architecture.
