Profile bio

About Jerry Mays

I started in MedCenter Solutions as a Regional Director in December 2004 after spending 2 years working in Managed Markets as an Institutional Sales Segment Executive Account Manager, now known as National GPOs. I have over 26 years experience managing account managers and representatives calling on everything from individual hospitals, Academic Medical Centers, and large National Health Systems. As the Director of Strategic Accounts with Contracting experience, I worked with Brand Marketing & Contracting Strategy to develop pricing and contract recommendations for many hospital based products. I also participated in many Marketing Strategy Planning Meetings for the Critical & Supportive Care product line. I took a lead role in the development of the Quality Initiative focus used by CSC Marketing and took the lead in developing the role of the Strategic Account Managers which gave the Med Center Division a targeted approach for the Health System customer segment that was valued over $500 Million for our product line. This position later evolved into our current Health System Account Manager role.As an Institutional Sales Executive Account Manager, I gained experience in contract development, contract negotiation, and contract management. I worked with contracts for all the major GPOs. I have strong Matrix Management skills. The roles that I have held have required tremendous Matrix Interaction and collaboration to achieve success. I currently work closely with Vaccines, Oncology, Pharma Divisions, National GPOs Directors, Payer Markets RAM, Respiratory Care Connections and others.I know my skills and experiences in leading successful teams, developing a team from ground zero to meet a company explicit need, account management skills, working with formularies and contracting, and my matrix management skills are tailor-made for opportunities in the Medical Center Sales and/or Managed Care sides of the business.

Listed skills include Managed Care, Pharmaceutical Industry, Leadership, Pharmaceutical Sales, and 19 others.
