While in grade school, my grandfather passed down his side hustle business, consisting of custom calendar creation, to me. This instilled an entrepreneurial spirit within me from early on. At this business, clients would order personalized calendars featuring their family and friends birthdays on the corresponding days. Conveniently, holidays and special occasions such as anniversaries were also included. Communication became very necessary early on as clients had to work with me to define what would be included on their calendar. In addition to completing the calendar myself, invoicing became an important learned skill.
