Within the Griffin Lab I started conversations with possible partners and then started secured partnership with an electric cooperative. My advisor Dr. Kyri Baker and I worked jointly with them to design a microgrid for a remote section of their grid using a software called DER-CAM with input information from NRSDB and ATB. I evaluated data from 60+ meters data, end-of-the-line voltage readings, and physical location of their grid components. To properly inform their board of directors about the feasibility of the project, I performed a technoeconomic analysis on each of the 14 microgrid designs I found.
