Senior Director, Psychological Services
Current- Lead and oversee the delivery of all psychological services and resources for Team USA athletes and staff including intake evaluation and assessment, individual and group counseling interventions, sport psychology for individuals and teams, and referrals and case management for mental health/illness and mental performance/sport psychology.- Develop organizational strategy for comprehensive psychology programs and services for Team USA athletes.- Serve as primary point person to direct provision of USOPC Psychological Services for Team USA athletes and staff. Lead a cross-functional team to determine and deliver the appropriate services based on each athlete’s situation.- Serve as primary contact for external mental health and sport psychology experts in the management of the holistic psychological needs of Olympic & Paralympic athletes.- Lead the strategic development of mental health emergency action plans.- Lead consultation, training, and educational resources for coaches and NGBs to help facilitate the mental health and sport psychology needs of their athletes and teams. - Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive athlete psychological services policies and procedures for daily operations and the Olympic & Paralympic Games. Train athletes, coaches, and staff on policies and procedures.- Stay current on trends and research in mental health and sport psychology to ensure the USOPC is providing cutting-edge, evidence-based resources to Team USA.- Serve as a global expert to improve psychological service provision across Team USA and its stakeholders.- Identify and implement appropriate psychological services assessment tools to assist with the identification and management of mental health disorders and performance limitations in elite athletes.- Lead the development and management of mental health and psychology resources.- Manage critical business issues and oversees the psychological services budget.
