Research topics have included investigating volcanic eruption warning signs and the application of infrasonic arrays to monitor crowd activity. Responsible for producing a research paper using LaTex each semester. Currently working.

Chosen to help revive the UNC Geology Club. Dedicated to creating an inclusive environment to foster a like-minded community of scholars passionate about earth sciences. Responsible for hosting weekly meetings and study sessions, as well as coordinating academic development opportunities like guest speakers.

Hired on a grant as a summer research assistant. Responsible for maintenance and deployment of acoustic sensors. Assisting with acoustic data analysis pertaining to forest fires, a revolutionary use of acoustic equipment. Trained in electrical wiring and soldering use. Expected to respond to future fieldwork assignments independently.

Participated in collecting and preparing water samples at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Water fixtures around campus were flushed and tested for lead; volunteer sample collectors were needed. Proper water sample collection techniques were learned and implemented.

Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area

Responsible for researching and presenting a list of building features that lead to increased bird window collisions. Created and shared a scale to analyze buildings based on their bird window collision risk factors. Conducted collision risk surveys on identified high-risk buildings. Presented findings to both university and New Hope Audubon officials.
