When I was 8 years old he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. When he was passing we had a Hospice nurse come in who was the nicest, kindest and loving person. She made me feel like I wasn't alone. As I got older I started to feel the impact she left on my heart and decided that I wanted to give caregiving a try. I have been a caregiver at home and facility, med tech, mentor/trainer and life enrichment. I have also been a stand-in advocate at hospitals with dementia patients until their family could arrive. My most recent accomplishment is starting my in-home life enrichment business.
