I keep clients happy. Currently managing construction of 5 multi family buildings, with a total of 44 units in Oakland. I love my work, even when problems come up! I'm solution oriented, creative and empowering. My trades need to make money just as my clients do, so creating that balance is the challenge I love to meet. Let's build something, like teamwork.

I helped launch, manage and grow a new broadcast division for an established online media entertainment company. Working with an in house team, which oversaw the design and engineering, I helped to create a 24 hour online presence in my roles as Production Assistant, then as Studio Manager. This was a very creative, rewarding, and independent role. Helping the parent company determine its ability to broadcast 24/7 and identifying and remedying those stopping points, I helped to grow annual sales to just over $2.5 million per year before leaving for a new opportunity. My ability to see the larger scope and manage multiple staff, while working with in house support, allowed me to create a positive, productive work environment. Working with a staff of 5 and up to 75 Independent Contractors/Performers, I created staffing and broadcast schedules that drew on my extensive construction experience with scheduling tasks, trades and personnel.

Managed a small client base, specializing in custom set design/build, as well as various construction projects ranging from Bathroom Remodels to Home Improvements. Met with clients to establish budgets, review sub contractor bids and scopes of work as well as helping to maintain contract compliance, quality of workmanship and budgets.

Superintendent at a project that had been red tagged by City of San Jose. Identified and remedied all defects to City Inspectors satisfaction and instilled a working production schedule to final build out. I then started a major multi family home project in South San Jose ($150 Million), managing off sites and mentoring a new superintendent on the adjacent Single Family Home product. Also created a Superintendents Field Manual for this builder

Managed Multi Family project ($50 Million), Semi Custom Single Home product (4,000 + sf). I was part of a construction team that built out this large project 1.5 years ahead of schedule, while maintaining quality budgets.

Managed the front end of multi family product, focusing on engineering walks and sign offs, as well as creation of Production Schedule. Key achievement was saving two weeks on build cycle (per 5-8 unit bldg) by sequencing installations in fire rated areas to avoid conflicts and maintaining rated wall assemblies.

After 15 years as a carpenter and expert kitchen and bath remodeler, I moved into Production Home building. Shea Homes was my first stint, where key skills were creating production schedules, maintaining quality and delivering on time or ahead of schedule and under budget.
