Established and facilitated partnerships with private landowners, local government, non-profits, land trusts, and State and Federal agencies to protect environmentally and historically sensitive areas in Charles and Prince Georges Counties. Identified property for conservation easements, acquisition, mitigation, and protection in the viewshed of Mount Vernon Estate. Established the cultural, historical, and environmental resource values for priority planning within the viewshed of Mount Vernon Estate and Piscataway Park. Licensed to sell real estate in MD. Have negotiated easements and fee-simple land acquisitions on behalf of Mount Vernon Estate and the NPS. Led real estate consulting for the foundation.Created, developed, and enacted policies and plans with Prince Georges and Charles County planning departments. Led GIS mapping and database management, compiling and evaluating geographical data and presenting those maps for funding, policy programs, and planning initiatives. Provided technical planning analysis on various planning studies.Successful planning projects include: the revision of the sub-region 5 master plan; and the implementation of the MNCPPC's Woodland Conservation Ordinance. Advanced knowledge coordinating and implementing Chesapeake Bay restoration regulations, programs, and initiatives. Led land conservation program, presenting land conservation reports and reviews of proposed land acquisitions for Rural Legacy and Natural Heritage program designation, stateside Program Open Space policy program, and county level Land Preservation, Park, and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) initiatives based on Maryland DNR 2009 LPPRP guidelines. Reviewed encroachment issues with the Indian Head Naval Surface Warfare Center and base in Indian Head, MD and provided mitigation land use management alternatives. Helped draft, present, and support the National Capital Region Land Conservation Act (HR 2986). Engaged key legislative staff on Capitol Hill to gain support.
