Calvary Scout( 19D)August 2010- 27 July 2020Responsible for the discipline, training, morale, health, welfare, and tactical deployment of a Scout Section (6 to 10 personnel) in support of combat and contingency operationsPreformed inspections such as equipment checks, functions checks on weapons, and the load plans on trucks, and preformed pre-combat inspections on soldiers.Preformed combat patrols in stressful conditions such as extreme heat, enemy contact, and multiple patrols throughout a 24 hour period with minimum sleep in obscured environments. Such as Iraq and Afghanistan, also performed same tasks in less stressful places such as Europe, and Australia.Instructs new members in procedures and skills: taught and ensured compliance with established safety proceduresCreated and maintained a duty log and coordinated schedule changes Planned and provided weekly training in weapons, radios, explosives, and combat lifesaving skills Maintain work orders for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and control document registers by manual and automated applications in the Global Combat Support System (GCSS Army)Established and maintained stock records and other documents such as inventory, and supply reportsConducted inventory cycle countsIdentified user’s tools, parts, equipment, and requirements and requisitions stock as neededEnsures that tools and equipment are maintained in good condition by performing visual and operating checksDispatched vehicles and equipmentOrdered and managed repair partsWas in charge of insuring the cleanliness and proper funtioning of a company’s worth of weapons (150-300 personnel) as an armorer.
