In April 2018, elected to leave Goldman Sachs and pursue a lifelong dream to travel the world. Over the following 17+ months, traveled through over 40 countries across 4 continents. Encountered diverse cultures, explored extreme environments, and learned millennia of history at the source. In early 2010, Client Onboarding leadership asked me to move to Singapore to establish a unified Asia Client Data Management department, responsible for account opening and reference data maintenance, by consolidating teams and functions from Tokyo, Hong Kong and Bengaluru into Singapore. What ensued was 4 of the most enriching years of my career and my life. Learned how to think and act globally, developed an in-depth knowledge of business customs across Asia, and learned how to cultivate and guide a truly diverse organization. Contributed to the growth of the Singapore office as it went from under 100 Operations employees to over 240. In May of 2012, as the Co-Head of the Client Onboarding department in Asia, was given additional responsibilities of oversight of the Client Identification Program (CIP) Review team, as well as leading and driving regional and global projects affecting the global Client Onboarding department.From June 2012 to March 2014, completed the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business Asia Executive MBA program while working full-time at Goldman Sachs.• Orchestrated the full integration of the Australia business into the Goldman Sachs firmwide architecture for the global Client Onboarding organization.• Provided guidance on regulations, processes, and best practices for additional teams located in growth market offices in China, Taiwan, Korea and India, while learning different business practices of each country.• Awarded the 2012 George E. Doty Fellowship from Goldman Sachs, granted to 10 employees across the global firm to enable the pursuit of an Executive MBA.• Launched the Singapore chapter of the Asia Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Network and strategized with leadership across Asia to champion LGBT causes.
