Sr. Media Relations Representative
Current• Serve as a liaison between the Cubs and the local, national and international media for the purpose of promoting and placing key storylines and organizational brand messaging in the media• Travel with the team on select road trips and to Spring Training in Mesa, Ariz. to act as an on-site media relations representative, coordinating media interview requests for the players, coaching staff and front office• Help prepare players, coaching staff and front office members for interviews• Manage the daily and seasonal credentialing process, serving as the liaison between Major League Baseball and the Cubs on all credential-related matters• Manage the Media Relations intern, taking a front-line role in the delegation of the day-to-day tasks and helping them gain valuable media relations experience to begin their careers•Work in conjunction with Marquee Sports Network to help promote Cubs’ minor league players by coordinating interviews to air on the pregame show• Serve as the point of contact for all amateur draft-related media inquiries and events• Take a lead role in the production of team publications such as the media guide, post-season media guide, pre-game notes, post-game notes, minor league report, stat packs and press releases• Manage the press box, catering to all media and broadcaster needs and questions• Developed meaningful relationships with the broadcasters, media and visiting PR staff• Worked with Major League Baseball in the 2024 postseason, aiding the communications staff in the day-to-day execution of the American League Championship Series
