I learned that starting a business is way harder than writing software. We've been working on the project for several years now and I'm definitely not giving up on it. However, I have decided to lower its priority in my life and am seeking another day job for the time being.I have many years of starting full stack software from scratch and migrating legacy systems to modern technologies. I enjoy being thrown into a codebase of any quality, getting a handle on it, and rapidly becoming a reliable contributer.I often find myself being assigned to UI roles, as it seems that I am often more interested in it than my peers. That is just a relative phenomenon though. I have just as much interest in crafting backend code.
