As an Elementary School Teacher at Austin Discovery School, I apply my sociology background and communication skills to create an empowered and inclusive classroom community. I work with diverse students, parents, and colleagues, and strive to understand their needs, perspectives, and goals. I use data and feedback to inform my instructional decisions and to tailor my teaching strategies to each learner's strengths and challenges.I have a passion for learning and discovery, which I developed during my Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology at Texas State University. I learned how to conduct research, analyze data, and communicate effectively with various audiences. I also gained valuable experience as a Kindergarten Teacher Fellow at BASIS.ed and a Lead Preschool Teacher at St. Louis Catholic School ECDC, where I honed my pedagogical skills and fostered a positive and collaborative learning environment. I am always eager to learn new things, to connect with others, and to spark lightbulb moments in myself and my students.
