The factory has several hundred employees that work on two rotating shifts seven days a week. Students from both Industrial Engineering and Psychology spent time at the plant observing and collecting data.Results: The team observed and submitted ergonomic evaluations for 5 unique workstations. The body parts with the highest ergonomic risk scores were all associated with the arm. Raising the arms above the body and twisting the trunk while performing tasks contributed profoundly to risk scores.
