With over 18 years of military experience, I am a cyber security professional with a passion for protecting data and systems from cyber threats. I am currently a Cyber Security Fellow at Allegiant Giving, a nonprofit organization that supports veterans and military families. I am grateful for the opportunity to leverage Allegiant Giving's Skillbridge Program, which helps me transition from the military to the civilian sector by providing me with training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. I am motivated by Allegiant Giving's mission to empower veterans and military families to achieve their personal and professional goals, and I am eager to contribute to their cyber security initiatives.As a Cyber Security Fellow, I assist Allegiant Giving's IT team in implementing and maintaining cyber security best practices, policies, and procedures. I also participate in various online courses and certifications offered by Coursera, such as Technical Support Fundamentals, The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking, and Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User. These courses help me develop and enhance my technical skills and knowledge in cyber security, as well as my communication and problem-solving skills. I enjoy learning from the experts and collaborating with other fellows and mentors in the program. I am confident that this fellowship will prepare me for a successful career in cyber security.
