The Naval Base Kitsap Child & Youth Program is committed to supporting the military and DoD civilian families by recognizing the uniqueness of each family's lifestyle and needs. In addition to child care, it provides age-appropriate recreational and educational programs for youth before and after school, as well as summer day camps, homework help, and field trips.In my role as an Assistant Training and Curriculum Specialist, I design learning materials, recommend training methods, coordinate curriculum, and update course content. I leverage analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and academic writing skills in streamlining the implementation of the creative curriculum in each program. I align staff development plans to the organization’s strategy and goals, assisting staff in aligning curriculum to the State Standard as well as across the grade levels.I provide and deliver a comprehensive training program to over 100 CYP employees at the largest facility in the region. The program supports the professional requirements of their positions and implementing a developmentally appropriate program that fosters the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development of children and youth, ages 6 weeks to 18 years. I also facilitate and ensure completion of all installation required training for the facility.

Camp Pendleton, California

Located approximately 38 miles from downtown San Diego and 82 miles south of Los Angeles, it’s the Corps’ largest West Coast expeditionary training facility, encompassing more than 125,000 acres of Southern California terrain. Camp Pendleton is a training ground for various tactical forces across all the armed forces, with a particular focus on infantry and amphibious sea-to-shore training. MCCS Marine & Family Programs provide dedicated programs and services to care, strengthen and inform Marines, Sailors, and their families.In my capacity as a Program Assistant, I carried out administrative responsibilities that impact the daily operations of the program. I acted as the primary contact for program procedures and policies. Moreover, I performed general office duties, including keeping records, data entry, and addressing client concerns, among others.

Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

-Over-see day-to-day operations of a retail/ rental store.-Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.-Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. -Reconcile nightly safe counts, cash registers, and daily bank deposits.-Implement sales techniques on a daily basis at Hollywood Video as well as essential customer service skills. I helped to track all financial goals for the store, including but not limited to, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals. -Maintain store appearance and product presentation to company standards.-Provide support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise. I rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. -Successfully lead top-performing team of 15+ employees focused on delivering quality customer service-Started on the ground floor of a new business in 2002 and have worked my way up, being promoted in a little over 2 years. In July 2006, I was temporarily promoted to acting Store Director of Hollywood Video while the Store Director took a leave of absence. I was also promoted to acting Store Manager of Game Crazy from July 2007 to October 2007. I was one of the longest standing employees in the company.-I Have been an integral part in training all levels of employees in both stores.- In August 2008 I helped transiton the company to a new operating system as well as a completely new pricing system and a name change in a small community.
