Daily, I supervise a small crew to ensure deadlines are met, confirm that renovations comply with building codes, train laborers, organize the worksite, and cultivate working relationships with subcontractors to provide quality work. Depending on our job site I contribute to tasks such as drywall hanging and finishing, framing, door and window installation and repair, trim work, floor installation, weatherproofing, foundation repair, paint, tile, small plumbing and electrical jobs, demolition, landscaping, fence installation, concrete sidewalk/ porch repair, etc.When not in the field, I have assisted with the creation of River City Housing’s social media presence, helped to facilitate and market a successful subcontractor recruitment event, maintained AmeriCorps reporting, and compiled various event or recruitment flyers.

As the conference coordinator for 2016's Come Together Kentucky (CTK), I secured funding grants, compiled a student-led planning committee, secured keynote speakers, oversaw marketing methods, and collaborated with multiple University offices to produce the best conference experience possible for LGBTQ+ college students from around the state. I was honored to work with a fantastic team to create a safe space for students of all kinds of backgrounds. Often, these students were facing multiple forms of trauma, and we worked to provide them with safe housing, referred them to counseling services, provided them with resources on healthy relationships, and most importantly showed up for them regularly. I helped to recruit volunteers for multiple large events and fundraisers as well as tabled at student orientations and various campus events.

New Pioneers is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace. As the executive assistant, I gathered research for a proposed toxic pipeline and developed brochures and literature to increase community education on the issue. I developed a weekly electronic newsletter using the MailChimp and Canva platforms along with managing social media pages and website updates. I have managed the organization's booth at the local farmer’s market and was the lead developer for the annual farmer’s market celebration. I was also honored to help coordinate the first annual Green Festival while at New Pioneers.I have contributed to successful daily operations which include: maintaining membership, email correspondences, balanced bank accounts and credit card statements, created weekly and monthly cash reports for account management. In addition, I organized a large 10th-anniversary dinner where key speakers like Kentucky authors Wendell Berry and Fenton Johnson gave speeches. I created literature for the event tables, publicized the event on various social media outlets, organized the silent auction, and helped to sell tickets.
