As a communications intern at a mission organization, I worked in a variety of capacities within the communications department. I collaborated with the organization's editorial board for a tri-monthly magazine, where I helped edit and write articles for publication, printed in hard-copy and online. I compiled and edited content to update the organization's media kit, working alongside a graphic design intern. In another detail-oriented project, I expanded an extensive media contact list by contacting news agencies via telephone to collect contact information for future new releases.In a writing-based capacity, I wrote and helped distribute news release about the organization's annual international conference. At the conference and throughout my internship, I interviewed national and international workers about their on-site service projects and wrote articles about their work, published in print and online.Additionally, I created, wrote, and helped produce two radio advertisements for organization and contributed voice work for radio ads.
