I bring almost 30 years of practical industry experience, ranging from entry-level Help Desk to Systems Administrator, pivoting to Network Administration, before returning to Sr. System Administration with a concentration on Information Security. During my IT career, I began writing numerous online and printed publications on wide-ranging IT topics related to cybersecurity and hardening endpoints to protect hardware, users, and private data to share my knowledge and continue helping my fellow IT professionals in different ways. This drive to share security knowledge led to my changing roles, becoming a full-time writer in the security space.Ever the continuing education advocate, I continue to expand my skill set, earning over thirty industry certifications – all current – and obtaining a B.S. in CyberSecurity & Information Assurance, in addition to lending my expertise to CompTIA as a Subject Matter Expert.Recently, my first book "Hardening Your Macs: Keeping your Apple Computers Safe at the Hardware and Software level", was published by Apress. And currently, I am working toward earning a post-graduate degree, an M.S. in CyberSecurity & Information Assurance while pursuing a few more security-focused certifications to keep my skills sharp while helping me to be the very best security professional I can be.
