To be useful to the client in their career transition exploration and conversation, I switch hats between being a career coach, a mentor, an advisor, and a counsellor. * Build rapport, establish trust, and work collaboratively with adult in-employment clients using the person-centered (PCT) approach and obtained 5-star Google reviews from former clients.* Adopt an eclectic approach with post-modern and legendary career development theories, concepts and interventions to explore and gain clarity of clients’ career-related needs, values, interests, beliefs, pains, passions, frustrations and aspirations.* Apply appropriate assessment tools and debrief results to address misconceptions, instil hope, support self-discovery, build strengths and promote self-efficacy. * Manage clients’ expectations and set meaningful, realistic and achievable goals. * Commit to adhering to international professional practice standards and being accountable for the client-helper relationship (do no harm) by engaging with continuous clinical supervision in career practice.
