Formerly known as Workforce Development Agency (WDA)This was a quality compliance role. WDA engaged my service based on my diverse experience in the Information Technology (IT) sector, Quality Assurance/Compliance, as well as my firm belief in balancing compliance requirements and business agility. I was responsible for auditing training courses and conducting compliance checks on accredited training organisations based on adult learning principles champion by the WSG framework.Courseware audited: ICT and soft skills courses - GEMS, Leadership and Creative.

LSCDD was the informatic research arm of Eli Lilly, a pharmaceutical company. My main role is to provide computer system validation service, compliance consultation advice, and project management support to the technology development team. At LSCDD, I also learned about the drug development process, lab quality compliance process and lab automation process through interaction with world-class research scientists who are experts in their respective fields of research.

I established the IT support division's Document Management System (DMS) from scratch, established the document standards for support documents, and consolidated departmental SOPs.I supported various departments on their Service Award Nomination Applications. As a result, almost all departments reserved their awards.

Achieved 100% project conversion rate.- Aligned internal business units and engineers in the USA and Europe region for pilot projects rollout.- Finalised various service offering components (procedures, training, support and billing structure) with entities in the USA, Asia Pacific region and Europe.

This was my first job and it is still the best job ever. I work with a small but tight team (3 FT + 2 PT) to manage two full computer labs and half a dozen research labs with 100+ PCs and UNIX workstations and the school's servers in the machine room. We ensured all machines were running the most up-to-date operating systems and software and servers in teaching and research labs for the School of Computer Science as well as other external departments within the university. We kept downtime to the minimum by planning ahead and strategising maintenance activities. aThe teamwork was amazing, and I learned something new every day on the job. Best of all, I was part of the larger UNIX system administrator community in North America. The members support each other by sharing information.
