Tasked with turning around a distracted organization, I created a strong team with mission critical responsibilities through changes in staffing and organizational philosophy. Once this was accomplished, we could focus on the design, integrity, security, and support of 24x7 Information Technology and Building Services systems for the nation’s largest Digital Cable Television provider.My team provided management of all internal data and video networks, which in turn managed nearly 10 million revenue producing digital set top controllers. IT leadership was provided to facilities in Denver, Los Angeles, New York, and Hong Kong.Additionally, my team was responsible for Information Security within all of Comcast Media Center organizations, which also included tenants within our space. Also, I led the organization through the AT&T Broadband/MediaOne merger, as well as the acquisition of AT&T Broadband by Comcast, ensuring a smooth transition of all information services.

Through the decade that I served in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, I was an original member of the newly formed Computer Services Division (part of Information, Policy, and Public Affairs), attaining a civilian rank of GS-12. As a member of this charter team, I assisted in the initial development of national policy and procedure. My activities also allowed me to present at National conferences, including a presentation that included the United States Attorney General as a member of the audience.Additionally, I served in a regional capacity overseeing operations at 11 federal prisons, which also included the activation of new facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.As an Instructional Systems Design Specialist, I assisted in the development of training software for all staff throughout the BOP. I also developed software at the National level, including Strategic Planning, Food Service Information System, Employee Development, as well as other applications.Holding a “critical sensitive” security clearance, I also served as a Primary Hostage Negotiator within the Bureau of Prisons, which also included training personnel within the US Department of Justice in negotiation techniques and operations.
