Since being called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in September 2022, I have completed my pupillage under Andrew Brown BL in a wide range of civil matters. I have assisted with the preparation for a range of proceedings before the Chancery, Commercial and Judicial Review courts, Lands Tribunal, Planning Appeals Commission, and a range of professional misconduct panels. Drafted a range of pleadings, position papers and skeleton arguments to express the client’s factual and legal points. I have used my extensive research skills to offer my analysis in advisory work for government clients in areas of legislative reform and statutory interpretation of complex legislation. I have also assisted in the delivery of strategic advice in settings such as procurement, rates reviews, and rent review litigation. Since January 2023, I have appeared before Masters of the High Court, where I have demonstrated a strong understanding of the relevant rules in High Court litigation. I have also completed the ATB advocacy training programme to enhance my oral and written advocacy skills.

I have worked as a constituency representative for Robin Swann MLA during his tenure as Minister of Health. I have researched complex policy issues and developments in the Department of Health to be able to disseminate Minister Swann's work to his constituents. Furthermore, I have offered advice on a range of emerging matters in national and local politics in Northern Ireland and provided detailed research briefings on key points. I am experienced in drafting media releases and developing digital media plans.Throughout this period, I have built close relationships with key officials in the Department of Health and the five Health and Social Care trusts across Northern Ireland. This has allowed me to assist constituents in obtaining information surrounding their care and secure urgent support for individuals in medical crises. I have also represented constituents at a range of social security and immigration tribunals. Developed my advocacy skills as I have achieved favourable results for our constituents.

Worked in a front-facing role where I offered guidance to students on the opportunities and programmes available within the Department of Careers, Employability and Skills at Queen's University. I was for developing social media content and targeted media strategies for a range of platforms in accordance with Brand Guidelines. I managed a ranged of events with leading employers on campus and delivered a range of workshops to students on the careers resources available within the University.

I co-founded a successful Northern Ireland-based start-up that developed a digital first-aid solution. Guided the company to success in the Invent Student Awards, Student Entrepreneurship Awards and a range of internal competitions at Queen's University and Ulster University. I was responsible for identifying opportunities to promote our company at events and in funding competitions. I secured the opportunity for our company to present its vision and business plans to investors using a range of methods including detailed presentations and elevator pitches.

Worked to enhance the opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access university education and supported their participation in University summer schools. In this role, I provided academic mentoring to AS-Level students and developed educational materials to help students adapt to studying in an unfamiliar learning environment. I also assisted in work that led to the expansion of the Pathways Opportunity Programme from four to eight pathways. Assisted with the development of new opportunities in academic subjects such as Management and Archaeology.
