Jill is an award-winning communications professional with 30+ years of experience who enjoys using communications strategies to share the mission of the organizations she represents. She excels at writing, editing, project management, internal and external communications, and crisis communications. A former journalist with master's degrees in Urban & Regional Planning and English, she enjoys communicating about affordable housing, preventing and ending homelessness, and creating sustainable communities. Her work has won an Emmy Award, several Society of Professional Journalists awards, and more recently a national award for internal state agency communications during the pandemic. She received the AICP outstanding planner award from the Humphrey Institute and was a finalist for the Minnesota Emerging Writers Grant. Outside of work, Jill is a competitive rower and volunteers for the Minnesota Prison Writers Workshop and Neighborhood Network for Seniors.
