Jim Cunningham has been an actor and Master of Cermonies for more than 35 years. Most recently he created the role Frank Dolan in the staging of Patrick Coyle’s new play “THE BIG BLUE RIVER”. Jim appeared as “Joseph Goebbels” in the World Premier of “DANCING WITH GIANTS” at The Illusion Theater where he also played “Groucho” in “THE COCOANUTS” and “Bill W” in “BILL W & DR BOB” on the Ilusion Mainstage and in an Outstate Tour. He created the role of Charles Dickens in “A CHRISTMAS CAROL FEAST” which he co-produced, co-directed and adapted for the stage. He is also one of The Three Guys in Tights in the hillarious “THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE-ABRIDGED”. Cunningham was the original “Tony” in Hey City Theater's long-running show “TONY AND TINA’S WEDDING”. For five years, he also delighted audiences in “HAUNTINGS OR DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS” an evening of magic and mystery he adapted for the Twin Cities. Jim's additional theatrical credits include three years in the Resident Improv Company at Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop. In December of 2006 he produced, co-directed and appeared in “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, A LIVE RADIO PLAY” for The Saint Paul Hotel which completed it’s 16th very succesful year in December of 2022 and will be back for the Holiday Season in 2023. His numerous television commercial credits include Home Advisor, Top The Tater, Delta Dental, Subway, Grandma's Saloon & Grill, and long running campaigns for American TV and Furniture, Butler Manufacturing and Honda as well as “The Carsoup Guy” among others. Cunningham's voice is familiar from his many Radio and TV voice overs and he is the voice of “Derrick the Truck” in the animated series “AUTO B GOOD”. Jim was the host of “MALL OF AMERICA, THE SHOW” a weekly magazine format television show, that ran for two years and highlighted the many things to see and do at Mall of America. He shot for two seasons as host of “EXPLORE MINNESOTA” a weekly television show featuring the Land of 10000 Lakes in all it’s glory. He also hosted “GOLF NUT” (Regional Emmy) for WCCO TV, a one hour television special celebarting The PGA Championship at Hazeltine. Cunningham was also the Game Host and “Minister of Fun” for The Minnesota Twins (24 seasons) and The Minnesota Wild (21 seasons). His Industrial Films and Live Industrial Shows where he acts as Host-Master of Ceremonies include work for many Fortune 500 Companies. Jim is also the Narrator of several Audio Books including“THE ELI MARKS MYSYERIES” by Author John Gaspard and the “GRAHAM’S RESOLUTION” series by A.R. Shaw.
