I provide technical expertise in the design, construction and timing of traffic signals for various agency and company projects. I provide plan check and review services for company and agency traffic signal and other traffic related projects. I provide on-site City Traffic Advisor services for the Cities of Lynwood and Huntington Park, California.

I am available for full or part time traffic signal and city traffic advisory services. Now on-call; however, I provide technical expertise in the design, construction and timing of traffic signals for various agency and company projects. I provide plan check and review services for company and agency traffic signal and other traffic related projects. I provided on-site City Traffic Advisor services for the Cities of Bell Gardens and Montebello, California and attend and write reports for their Traffic and Safety Commission and City Council meetings.

I managed and marketed for projects involving the design of traffic signal plans, signing and striping plans, traffic control plans and traffic signal systems. I also provided plan check services for agencies including the cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Commerce and Inglewood, California. I was used on an on-call basis for traffic engineering services for the City of Rancho Cucamonga involving plan checking and traffic signal turn-on and construction assistance services.

I was responsible for the timing, operation, design, plans and specifications for traffic signals and systems for the City of Rancho Cucamonga. That responsibility required plan and specification checking and review of all Capital Improvement and Developer generated traffic signal projects. I made presentations to City Council. I checked and supervised the preparation of studies for traffic signal coordination and traffic impact analyses. I used TRANSYT-7F, PASSER, WEBSTER, HCS, SYNCHRO and like software as well as the Internet in my duties. I developed and used spreadsheets for Intersection Capacity Utilization calculations, Conductor and Detector Schedules and project estimating. I prepared HES, OTS, FETSIM and other grant applications. I was Project Director on the City’s Office of Traffic Safety Grant for a Computerized Collision Database and Analysis System and was on the County-wide/SanBAG Collision Database Project TAC as well. I helped prepare the department annual budget. When he was absent, I substituted for the City Traffic Engineer.

I checked, designed and directed the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for traffic signal, street lighting and transportation projects for clients from Ventura to the Mexican border including the City of Long Beach portion of their light-rail system. I prepared spreadsheet templates for Intersection Capacity Utilization calculations, speed zoning, parking studies and other traffic related work. I used PASSER II and TRANSYT 7F programs and prepared and processed grant applications and plans through Caltrans and other public agencies. I trained others to design and time traffic signals and worked on the first FETSIM projects in several cities for the optimization of signal timing to reduce congestion and increase air quality. This included hands-on installation and adjustment of the City of Irvine’s computerized traffic control system.

I prepared, designed and drafted plans, specifications and cost estimates for traffic signal, signing, striping, lighting and other projects. I also checked plans and tract maps and prepared legal sketches and descriptions, engineering and traffic surveys and Federal and State grant applications.

I performed engineering design and drafted plans for street, sewer, water, landscaping, irrigation, lighting and traffic signal projects and prepared reports detailing public works requirements for development plans, subdivisions and parcel maps. Other tasks included surveying, engineering calculations, and preparation and checking of specifications, estimates and legal descriptions.
