Chief of Staff for the MassDOT Highway Division – the largest multi-modal division of MassDOT with over 2,800 engineers, project managers, and operations staff responsible for the Commonwealth’s surface transportation operations and projects. Advises the Highway Administrator on major projects, develops policy initiatives, and works with senior Highway managers to deliver a $2 billion annual capital program. Oversees the Highway Division’s communication, outreach, and legislative efforts.From July 2022 through January 2023, oversight of the governmental affairs unit for all of MassDOT was added to the Highway Chief of Staff role to ensure the advancement and passage of the 2022 Highway Safety Bill and the $11.4 billion Infrastructure Bond Bill (MassTRAC). Includes management of 7 governmental affairs staff assigned to Highway, Registry of Motor Vehicles, Rail and Transit, and Aeronautics Divisions. Serves as the point of contact for federal, state, and local officials and manages the legislative agenda for transportation to advance the Governor’s priorities.

Worked collectively with the Highway Administrator and Highway Chief of Staff on all issues related to the Highway Division, with a focus on operations and outward facing issues or strategies. Main liaison with MassDOT Government Affairs and Communications Office.

Managed relationships and priorities of elected officials, led multiple public meetings across Massachusetts and managed public participation on complex and sensitive projects including the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Replacement Project, Casey Arborway, and All Electronic Tolling.

Formulated projects, obligated payments, and managed over $60 million in FEMA grants to local communities and non-profit organizations.

Manage the accounting, auditing, and bookkeeping for multiple contracts, totaling over $12 million.

Working for former Chairman Vincent Pedone. Responsible for managing and tracking all non-budgetary bills in the House of Representatives and was the primary interface with the Members on their legislative requests.

Working for former Vice Chairman James Leary. Responsible for the preparation of all budget materials, the Representative's legislation, amendments, management of constituent requests, draft speeches, editorials, and press releases.
