I like to take things apart and put them back together again. As a pharmacist, this means examining biochemical mechanisms, drug interactions and therapeutic properties and then prescribing and making recommendations for the best course of action. As a 40+ year entrepreneur and leader, I have found that coaching leadership is not much different; in order to prescribe the best course of action, we first need to examine the symptoms and options for recovery. I owned and ran my own successful pharmacy for 20 years, becoming a mainstay within the community where customers would patronize not only for medication, but for gifts and collectibles. After selling my pharmacy, I accepted a role in hospital administration as a CEO. It was in this role that I built my expertise in leading a large organization and further emphasized my strong acumen in business. I also realized that leadership can be lonely and that it is difficult to find trustworthy advice. As an Executive Coach, my goal is to provide the kind of support and advisement that I was searching for years ago. I understand the reality of burn out and believe that renewing a company culture that works well together enables a business to handle just about anything. I work with leaders to find their strengths, identify their challenges and build new strategies that benefit the entire organization - taking things apart and putting them back together again. If you have a strong servant leadership value and are looking for ways to elevate your organization and the people in it, please reach out to see if there is any reason we should take a few minutes to explore the potential of a relationship. I work with corporations in a number of differing roles, but always with one agenda...theirs. You can reach me at jmkoppen@gmail.com.
