Jim Nelson brings over 30 years of experience to the equity financial derivatives trading markets. His journey began as a floor trader for Lakota Trading on the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He then transitioned to Arbitrade, which was later acquired by Knight Trading, and subsequently became part of Citibank.During his tenure at Citibank, Jim distinguished himself as a top performing derivatives traderfor 10 consecutive years. His achievements led to his semi-retirement in 2013, at the age of 45, holding the position of Director. Post semi-retirement, Jim continued in the financial markets by developing trading algorithms for Avatar Securities and serving as a trader/research manager at Rocket Capital in Wayzata, MN. Currently Jim is a portfolio manager for Raymond James in Andover, MN.Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim is passionate about his Christian faith. In 2019,he founded Breakthrough Now Ministries, dedicated to prayer. Jim is actively involved in River Valley Church, where he serves as a Freedom Ministry leader at the Minnetrista, MN campus, and he also holds a board position at The Blessing House ministry.With a marriage spanning 31 years, Jim is a devoted family man and father of two adult children. In his leisure time, he finds joy in playing tennis, boating, and cherishing moments with his family and friends.
