Assisted in the development of an “in-house” Land Title Department. In addition to preparing detailed ownership reports, assisted in the development of the Excel based system used in this preparation. This system was eventually adapted as a database now known as CHK Land Title Pro®. Review lease contracts for amendments, errors, correct dates, acknowledgments, correct net and gross acreage, plats, signatures, and correctly issued title and deed documentation. Approve leases in for bonus payments to Lessor’s and key payment information for tracking and accounting reporting.

Provided professional land consulting services including property research for negotiated or auctioned sale of oil and gas properties, due diligence, lease acquisition, contract negotiation and division of interest (DOI) computations. Broker and sub-broker long and short-term projects. Managed and supervised field crews in excess of thirty individuals. Prepared and provided ownership reports, production reports, materials lists, lease data sheets, Joint Operating Agreement data sheets, gas contract summaries, division of interest summaries, assignment exhibit “A”s, Federal and State assignments, preferential right to purchase letters, Oklahoma Corporation Commission change of operator forms and all pre-sale requirements for bid and auction sales. Performed all aspects of title search and examination of public records to determine ownership of surface and mineral interests, acquisition of oil/gas leases and preparation and delivery of ownership reports, assignments of title and status reports tailored to client needs. Have acquired hundreds of thousands of acres of leasehold in over 70% of Oklahoma counties, and various areas of Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
