Support Federal Services GIS projects in contract management, project tasks, and technical analysis needs.

Supported US Army Garrison Fort Hamilton’s Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) program as corporate project & contract manager. The scope of the project included the following; SDSFIE compliance, updating the Army’s Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management’s (OACSIM) Army Mapper (AM), continued maintenance of consistent, accurate GIS data layers, update of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings in support of Fort Hamilton Department of Public Works operations.

GIS project support of USAF client at Joint-Base Langley Eustis, Virginia. Transitioned onsite GIS program from a large business endeavor to a small business prime contractor. Similar duties were required as under previous AECOM experience with USAF client as onsite FTE. Effort included several separate program related geospatial application and data development task orders. Coordinated the technical team for FISMA reporting of enterprise GIS system portfolios in USAF instance of the DoD Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR) and web/database server Certificate-to-Operate/Authority-to-Connect (CtO/AtC) on NIPR/SIPR network by maintaining the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) USAF instance of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for certification and accreditation. Support installation civil engineering with data development and maintenance, utilize data for spatial analysis projects as requested. Supported USAF client at Joint Base Langley-Eustis managing multiple GIS task orders under several different program implementation and sustainment efforts. Planned and tracked budgets, monitored actual against estimated work schedule, and supervised project team. Responsible interface with clients and subcontractors in coordination of program implementation. Team effort included Air Combat Command (ACC) Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) (GeoBase) Program Management Office (PMO) requirements, enterprise system administration, and daily operational tasking of spatial products for ACC CONUS installations and Area of Responsibility numbered Air Forces AFSOUTH and AFCENT located OCONUS.

Supported NGA, USAF, Army clients on multiple geospatial task orders under several different program implementation and sustainment efforts. Planned and tracked project budgets, monitored actual workflow against estimated work schedule, and supervised project teams. Responsible interface with clients and subcontractors in coordination of program implementation. Hands-on technical duties in the areas of GIS tool scripting to automate data development and quality control, perform spatial queries and provide analysis, accomplish quality assurance for geospatial deliverables.

Technical support analyst becoming project technical lead responsible for production success of assigned NGA products and acceptance of final geospatial deliverables. Efforts included geospatial production workflow analysis to implement efficient, time saving processes in order to meet project budget requirements. Provided highly technical support in the areas of tool scripting, database analysis, systems administration, and software management.

Worked at the capital complex in the Arizona State Land Department, Arizona Land Resource Information System as a GIS technician under college internship program and was awarded several follow-on independent contractor task orders. Gained valuable experience within ESRI Arc/Info software on SUN UNIX (Solaris) server/client platforms. Main effort involved the implementation of a statewide hydrologic database with conversion of USGS Digital Line Graph (DLG) data and related Major/Minor attribution database into an Arc/Info database for the state. Additional efforts included various CAD to GIS migrations and database development. Learned to work in coordination with other state agencies for sharing of data. Gained practical exposure to programming techniques for GIS data development and QC automation, maintained and documented project derived applications.
