The Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) is an independent, permanent coalition of trade and professional associations who share a common concern for the future of small business.

Promote and enhance the value of the independent representative to the electrical industry

•Responsible for creating and executing a cohesive sales and operational strategy, across all Cal brands, to achieve business objectives. •Collaborate with other senior managers in developing a strategy for the entire company. •Determine and monitor the sales department's key performance indicators (KPIs). •Direct and manage sales department employees. Supervise, develop and mentor sales directors.•Develop and implement employee performance management programs.•Continually improve the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhance productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.•Oversee and drive adoption of sales technology including customer relationship management (CRM).•Develop sales training program for new and existing employees to ensure sales employees are equipped with the product, system and selling-skills training that they require to be successful. •Develop lead and revenue generation programs, as well as high performing sales collateral.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDirect and oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new customers for products and services. Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results. Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets. Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts. Participate in the development of new project proposals. Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials. Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company. Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs. Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors. Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations. Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop business plans for the company. Serve on planning and policy-making committees.

Responsible for analyzing the sales rep agency and distributor target market to ensure proper market penetration with Ericson products. Set performance goals and evaluate performance of each sales rep against established goals. Monitor competitive environment and identify opportunities and activities necessary to gain market share. Mentor, coach and lead rep agencies to success.

Responsible for the representation, marketing and sales of 14 top electrical and communication manufacturers.• Member of the Lester Sales Strategic Management team . Drove organizational growth through strong communication, effective leadership, and relationship management skills.• Coached and mentored outside salesman in goal setting, goal tracking and accountability.
