Jim Jay is Managing Partner of Chatham Equity Partners. Chatham Equity Partners is a Faith-driven, multi-family office holding company based in Indianapolis focused on the acquisition of middle market companies where we can invest for long-term growth. Our preference is to partner with existing management teams to strengthen their brand, market reach and bring operational excellence. With Biblical values at our core, we seek to build the culture and further the company legacy in the communities where the businesses are presently located. In addition, Jay serves as Managing Partner of Chatham Ventures which has investments in SaaS companies in the Midwest and California. Jay formerly served as Chairman, President and CEO of San Diego based Vinculum Communication. Jay navigated the company through restructuring, divestiture, rebuilding, and acquisitions, the technology company has grown from an unprofitable $28.0M in revenue to profitability and over $70.0M in revenue. The company was sold in May 2022. Previously Jay served as CEO of TechPoint is an Indiana-based organization charged with leading a focused and aggressive statewide effort to help transform and grow the state’s technology sector. As Founder and CEO of TechPoint Ventures, Inc., Jay has led the investment of over $19 Million in early stage venture capital in 14 Indiana based SaaS tech companies. A successful business leader and entrepreneur, Jay sold a technology company he co-founded prior to joining TechPoint. Jay has served in numerous executive level positions, including as president of Indianapolis-based Elim, Inc., a company that provided financial analysis, operations, marketing and strategic planning for companies in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Jay has also led the formation and daily operations of several successful startup companies in the technology sectors. A high honors graduate of Butler University, Jay directed marketing and strategic planning efforts for Adminastar Communications, Inc. which included mergers, acquisitions and integration. Jay’s prior experience includes serving on the staff of US Senator Richard G. Lugar of Indiana and running successful political campaigns. Jay serves/has served on the boards several corporate and community boards. Jay has been honored with the MIRA award for Leadership in Technology and Entrepreneurship, Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Lawrence Township Schools’ Distinguished Alumnus and as one of Indiana’s youngest Eagle Scouts. Jay is also a member of Young President's Organization (YPO).
